Default Where my writers at!

Who wants to do NaNoWriMo with me and Jennings? Even though he FAILED miserably last year, he wants to give it another go and I'm going to rock with it too.

Who wants to join us in our quest for 50k?

Default NANOWRIMO

Yam, Dip, Junk!

I tried NaNoWriMo last year after talking with my friend Megan Kellie about it for so long. I did try. But about 12K into the whole process (okay, maybe seven) I couldn't keep up. I honestly couldn't find the hours necessary to write and the OCD keeps me always on the edit. I might try next year to get it done, but I highly recommend it to everyone. Just start and don't edit... if you can! It's all about word count, nothing more. Just spew ideas out, write a huge Harold. That would be fun to read. Especially if it had robots and ninjas.

I wrote a novella last year. I got up to 35K. Coreys old website used to have it. It was fun, I recommend it too.

I am going to write the sequel to You Got Served.

I'll call it, "You Also Got Served....Now Be A Good Sport And Dance On Your Head!"

(If I finish that one early, I'm going to write a sequel to Stephen King's "The Girl That Loved Tom Gordon." It's going to be called, "The Girl That Loved The Pitcher That Used To Play For Boston, But At The Same Time, Also Loved Austin.")

You're actually too late on that sequel script for "You Got Served." The first movie was so low budget that they made a profit off of it, so MTV pictures has already greenlit the sequel.

I've tried it twice.

It's a really, really insane trip.

Last year I even got my dad and brother into it. The big stab in the heart was I lost over 10,000 words about halfway into the month from a hard-drive crash and it wounded my resolve.

We shall see, I may be busy with less disposable writing.

When I did this last year, I was unemployed, knew what I wanted to write, had a good supply of Adderall, and only managed 20k words.

This year, I work 40 or more hours a week, have no idea what I'll write about, have no amphetamines, and... let just say I hear the phrase, "no, pay attention to ME!" much more often.

I think this will be a smashing success.

What happens to your work when you are done? Who does it belong to?
Will anyone actually read it?
