Bernie! I certainly do remember you. You were the only guy that had stage fright as bad as I did. It's good to hear from you, man. Yeah, it's to bad you missed the Arts Center, I had a great night that night. Yeah man, I did what I said I was going to do, and got into standup and hit it hard. A year and a half later, I've got 20 good minutes, I'm opening for a real road dog in September, and actually running my own room now in Carrboro. Also, I've become very involved in Improv, both at DSI and at the Idiot Box Comedy Club in Greensboro. On top of that, I also perform with a sketch group called Big Brother and the Thought Police. So, I've really turned into a jack of all comedy trades over the last year and a half. I've only heard great things about Workx, and I'm really glad to hear you're having fun with it. I will certainly keep you up to date on upcoming appearences, and I hope you can make it out one night!
You probably don't remember me, but I finally sat down and figured out how to get back on these forums. I was in your 101 Standup Writing class back in 2012. I have taken a slightly different comedic path - I've been taking Improv classes at ComedyWorx in Raleigh. They have a very welcoming community, but it is all about Improv, no stand up, but I am better at Improv anyway. Hope you are doing well.
I got an email from Arts Center with your name as one of the comics but I did not get a chance to see you. How about letting me know the next time you get some "Mic time" and I'll try to make it.
