This morning, Ryan Locante ate chili fries for breakfast and washed them down with Tabasco sauce. He was weak in the knees for a time, and wondered if perhaps someone had poisoned him. But it was all a misunderstanding.

David Siegel is wearing a smashing new pair of pants that he got at Goodwill. They're red and purple, with a sequin stripe down the side. He went outside to take a break from work, and several students on the UNC campus accused him of being "a year too late with those pants." He took his megaphone out of his backpack and yelled political slogans at them until they ran in fear. No one has dissed his pants since, so I guess word gets around pretty quick in Chapel Hill: you don't diss David Siegel's pants.

I had to wear those, because my other pair was in the laundry.

Ryan Locante is mad at Dave Siegel.

That's not a palindrome! The palindrome of "Ryan Locante" would be "notlob."

Corey Brown is learning to play the mandolin. He said he got the idea from listening to an old Yma Sumac album, but if you search carefully enough, you'll find that Yma Sumac never used mandolin on her albums. Just yesterday, Corey was at the Mardi Gras bowling lanes, proclaiming loudly that the mandolin was "an instrument of precise tones and fierce loyalty." Some of the other bowlers agreed to buy Yma Sumac albums, but none of them did, nor will they.

Grr! Palindromes?! None of them are palindromic! Palindromes have to be the same when spelled backward or forward. Thus, "Bolton, not Lob" and ""yma sumac o' camus amy" are palindromic. So is "goldenrod-adorned log," but that's beside the point.

--Kit

Point: The B-side, that's "Butt Log." Adorned goldenrod is so palindromic. Are Amy Camus o' Sumac Yma and Lob-not Bolton thus forward? Or back? Ward spelled "w-h-e-n s-a-m-e t-h-e b-e" to have palindromes. Palindromic are Them of None. Palindromes?! Grr!
