View Full Version : NY Improviser from 50s, TV director in One-Woman Show

This weekend on UNC Campus...one of the grandmothers of improvisation, Joan Darling (who got her start in the NYC improv of the 50s and 60s) and a big time TV director is starring in a one-woman show called Back Talk: Teaching Lost Selves to Speak.

The performances will be in Kenan Theatre in the Center for Dramatic Art on Country Club Road in Chapel Hill. They will be on Saturday at 5 PM and Sunday at 2 PM and 5 PM. There will be a discussion to follow all three of them.

Joan directed the Mary Tyler Moore Show episode "Chuckles Bites the Dust," which won an emmy and was voted the #1 funniest half-hour of television EVER by Tv Guide. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity people.
