improv massage

So I've noticed that 9 times out of 10 when someone sits down in a chair during a scene, unless their partner sits down too...they usually go around their back and start giving them a massage.

This happens ALL the time? Why?

I think seeing it take place on stage so much perpetuates the practice of massage scenes.

I wish real life would imitate art and I would be given a massage 90% of the time that I sit down.
