Well.... after you ask the questions.

This thread will be dedicated to answering the questions people have about DSI House Team auditions (scheduled for Sunday Feb 1st). Confirmations have been sent. If you registered but have not received a confirmation please email zach@dirtysouthimprov.com and let me know.

Thanks!

Well...

Should we bring anything (resume, headshot, etc.)?

Should we wear anything special (i.e. clothes to move around in)?

Will there be a callback, or will all be pulled from initial audition?

Is there anything that is being looked at specifically for this House Team...or will that be determined during the audition (I mean...the crazy team, or the younger team, or the whatever team)?

That's what I can think of right now...more when I'm not sleeping.

NO. You will be asked to fill out a questionnaire before your audition. A schedule of your daily conflicts for Spring could help you with that.

You should dress comfortably - That was addressed in the confirmation email.

There will be no callback. The House Team will be put together based on the one audition.

We are looking to put together a Team that will be dedicated to each other and will continue learning as an ensemble. We will be forming the "whatever team," meaning that we will be looking at the most dedicated and promising performers and making the best Team style choice from that group. Know that, if the most talented person at auditions does not vibe well with the Team style of the majority of people we're looking at, they may not be cast. ie: they're too reserved and the rest of the people are crazy. DSI wants the best people who will work the best together.

Thanks, Bryan.

The post on the DSI Chapel Hill forum states the auditions will last about 50 minutes. In this time, will we be working with other applicants, DSI performers, or both?

You will be auditioning with 6-7 other students, performing scenes and montages.

Thanks!
